Erciyes University Gevher Nesibe Genome and Stem Cell Institute was established as affiliated to the Rectorate under the name of Gevher Nesibe Institute of Medical History on July 20, 1982 in accordance with the Law on the Organization of the Higher Education Institutions, and the name of the Institute was changed to Gevher Nesibe Genome and Stem Cell Institute with the Decision of the Council of Ministers dated 29/5/2017 and numbered 2017/10404. Education began in 5 multidisciplinary departments (Department of Plant Biotechnology, Department of Clinical Researches, Department of Chronic Diseases and Metabolism, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, Department of Neuroscience) in the 2018-2019 Academic Year. With the awareness of the necessity of constantly learning and renewing themselves, faculty members working in the graduate programs of our Institute provide the best environment for the students who are studying or will study graduate education with great effort by making many sacrifices for the studies they will carry out with the superior will, determination, discipline and great care.

As an institute, our goal is to provide the maximum contribution to the education of qualified scientists who are aware of the requirements of developing technology and economics, contribute to the productive, universal and modern development, use resources effectively and who have made a career.
